THE HAGUE, March 22 (Hina) - The prosecution at the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Monday requested a minimum sentence of ten years for the former warned of a prison in Kaonik in which Moslems had been
imprisoned in 1993. Taking into consideration all the circumstances of the case, the prosecution believes that Zlatko Aleksovski should receive a minimum ten-year prison sentence, prosecutor Grant Niemann said in his closing statement before the ICTY trial chamber. The prosecution holds Aleksovski guilty on all charges without mitigating circumstances. Aleksovski not only did not prevent his subordinates in taking inhumane actions towards the inmates, but directly took part in the abuse, the prosecution said.
