BELGRADE B-92 RADIO ON AIR AGAIN WITH NEW EDITORIAL STAFF BELGRADE, April 12 (Hina) - One-time a very popular independent Belgrade radio station, B-92, is on the air again as of Monday afternoon, but with new editorial staff headed by
the former president of the Association of Belgrade University Students, Aleksandar Nikacevic. In line with a decision of the Belgrade Business Court, Radio B-92 headed by director Sasa Mirkovic and editor-in-chief Veran Matic, was disconnected on March 23, with an explanation that the radio had been using a transmitter "more powerful than allowed". Matic was arrested and kept in a police station for eight hours. The radio was temporarily taken off the air, and the transmitter was disconnected. The editorial staff, however, continued to air its programme over the Internet and satellites. This transmission was soon discontinued, because the staff was prevented from using the radio's premises.(hina) it/lml
