CRO SIDE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DISCONTINUATION OF ARMY PROGRAMME

MOSTAR, Apr 9 (Hina) - A representative of the Croat component of the army of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim Federation on Friday said the Croat component had in no way caused the suspension of a military programme for the federal army. The "Equip and Train" programme was discontinued by United States company MPRI at the request of the U.S. government after the first NATO air strikes against Yugoslavia. The commander of the federal army's First Croat Guard Corps, Major General Zlatan Mijo Jelic, did not wish to comment on a journalist's question about a connection between a possible delivery of weapons by the federal army's Muslim component to the Kosovo Liberation Army and the discontinuation of the military programme.
