SISAK SISAK, April 8 (Hina) - The central celebration of the International Day of Romany in Croatia was held in Sisak, about 60 km east of Zagreb, on Thursday, under the auspices of the town of Sisak and the Sisak-Moslavina County.
The president of the Alliance of Associations of Croatian Romanies, Vid Bogdan, and the president of the county association of Romany, Bozo Nikolic, gave a reception for representatives of Gypsy communities across Croatia, town and county officials, and representatives of ministries and government institutions. Bogdan thanked all who had helped and were helping Romanies with projects of urban planning in their settlements and with solving social and health issues. He also expressed gratitude for the support in increasing the number of Romany children attending elementary and high schools.
