THERE IS NO DECREASE OF INTEREST OF BRITISH TOURISTS IN CROATIA

LONDON, March 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Tourist Agency in London has addressed the British public with a statement estimating the NATO intervention in Yugoslavia should not affect the arrival of British tourists in Croatia. Croatia is not bordering with the Kosovo region and "not one British tourist agency has announced plans to change its operations in Croatia", the Agency said in the statement. The British Foreign Office's travel recommendations make no mention of Croatia regarding the conflict in Kosovo. Head of the Croatian Tourist Agency in London, Josip Lozic, said on Thursday British tourists wishing to travel to Croatia were not disturbed by the NATO intervention in Yugoslavia or the Kosovo conflict. According to Lozic, the booking of summer holidays in British tourist agencies is proceedings as usual, however, it is difficult to estimate how the NATO action - should it last

According to Lozic, the booking of summer holidays in British tourist agencies is proceedings as usual, however, it is difficult to estimate how the NATO action - should it last longer - would affect this year's tourist season. Peter Battley, a spokesman for the British tourist agency Saga, said yesterday the agency was still receiving bookings for summer holidays in Croatia and had no intention of changing its business policy towards Croatia, unless advised otherwise by the Foreign Office.
