TWO DOCUMENTARIES ON CRO NATURAL BEAUTIES SHOWN IN WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON WASHINGTON, March 24 (Hina) - Two documentaries, produced by the Croatian Television, were shown in Washington on Tuesday evening as a part of this year's Festival of Ecological Films. Many visitors at the Croatian Embassy in Washington watched with interest "Lovnikovi zapisi (Hunter's Memoirs)" and "U potrazi za izgubljenim vremenom: za živu Dravu (In Search of Lost Time: For The Live Drava). The author and director of the first movie are Jozo Kapovic and Dominik Zen respectively, while the second one was made by Mladen Trnski and Angelina Bosancic. The Hunter's Memoirs bears witness to the life of a hunter, Tomislav Sporer, on Mount Bjelolasica in central Croatia. The other film is about the Drava River which remained the only central European still clean river and about a threat posed by the construction of the hydroelectric power plant "Virje" for the natural balance in its valley.
