PRISTINA, March 21 (Hina) - Fighting resumed in the area of the northern Kosovo municipality of Podujevo on Sunday, the Kosovo Liberation Army's (KLA) news agency "Kosovapress" reported. Clashes were reported along the road leading
from Podujevo to Luzane. Serbian forces are shelling the villages of Godisnjak and Penuh, and villages in the Podujevo area which are not under KLA control, the same source said. It added the attacks were aimed at creating panic among the civilian population and forcing them to leave their homes, which would be followed by the looting and setting afire of houses. Serbian sources today reported that armed Albanians this morning opened sniper fire several times at a Serb police patrol vehicle on the Pristina-Podujevo road, which has been closed for traffic since yesterday.
