SARAJEVO, Mar 18 (Hina) - The members of the Peace Implementation
Council's (PIC) Administrative Board on Thursday regretted the
recent bombing attack in Sarajevo in which two Bosnian Croat
officials suffered serious injuries.
On March 16, the deputy interior minister of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim
Federation, Jozo Leutar, and two of his associates were the victims
of a murder attempt.
According to a statement the Office of the High Representative
(OHR) for Bosnia issued on Thursday, the PIC, which monitors the
implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia, called on the
parties involved to not use the crime for political goals.
The PIC in particular warned about undesirable suggestions that the
murder attempt in some way makes co-existence of Bosnia's peoples
impossible.
The members of the PIC Administrative Board called on local
authorities to urgently take steps necessary to track down, arrest,
and criminally persecute the perpetrators of the vile crime.
The Board most resolutely condemns any act of terrorism and warns
that such acts will not go unpunished, the OHR statement said.
