TOVARNIK, March 15 (Hina) - UN representatives and local officials on Monday signed an agreement on stimulating agricultural production in Tovarnik and Lovas, eastern Croatia, to be financed by the U.N. Development Programme
UNDP/UNOPS. According to the agreement, US$575,500 will be used for ploughing, sowing and reaping on about 1,200 hectares of land. The agreement was signed by the municipal heads of Tovarnik and Lovas, Marinko Beljo and Zeljko Cirba, and - on behalf of the UNDP - by the head of the local UNDP office, Philip Beqet. Today's agreement on stimulating agricultural production and an agreement on the partial removal of war damage in the two municipalities, signed in early March, are part of a project on the development of Tovarnik and Lovas, to be fully financed by the United Nations.(hina) rml
