PRISTINA, March 2 (Hina) - The main political representative of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Adem Demaqi, announced his resignation at a press conference in Pristina on Tuesday. Demaqi had opposed the Kosovo Albanian delegation's
departure to the Rambouillete negotiations, signing of an agreement with Belgrade, and the establishment of an interim government of Kosovo Albanians. Demaqi told the press conference that he abided by his previous claims, and resigned from his duties, due to misunderstanding with several groups in the KLA Main Headquarters, adding he did not want to be an obstacle to the solution of the Kosovo problem. He said the proposed peace plan meant that Kosovo would remain under the Serbian jurisdiction, and added NATO troops would not arrive in Kosovo even after the signing of the agreement on March 15.(hina) it
