CROATIAN ECONOMY PROMOTED IN VIENNA

VIENNA, Feb 15 (Hina) - Croatia presented its economy's possibilities and the first issue of the EURO-denominated government bonds in Vienna on Monday. On this occasion Croatian Finance Minister Borislav Skegro addressed potential investors. Austrian investors know very well our country, but they like always to learn of what is going on. I believe that Austrians will put their trust in Croatian bonds, Skegro said. After Vienna, we are to promote our economy in Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris, London, Milan and Madrid and inform the interested investors about achievements and problems in the Croatian economy, the Finance Minister said adding that Croatia officials are trying, in this way, to persuade foreign businessmen to use good opportunity of investing their money in Croatia. Apart from Skegro, officials of the Finance Ministry, the Croatian Central Bank and the Privatisation Fund spoke about the situation in Croatia, the privatisation process and other issues in connection with the economy. They accentuated the complete macroeconomic stability. Monday's event was organised by the Croatian side and two prominent investment banks "Dresdner Kleinwort Benson" and the "Credit Suisse/First Boston". (hina) jn ms
