Croats in the Federation of BH, was signed by almost 149,000 people.
This was said on Monday at a press conference organised by the heads
of Croatian associations of war veterans in Herceg-Bosna who
conducted the petition.
President of the Herceg-Bosna war invalids association, Zoran
Prskalo stated that the intention of the petition was to caution
Westendorp that the proposed measures were directly damaging to
Croats in BH.
"Our petition should not be taken the wrong way, we are not against
the international community", said Prskalo, adding that the
petition intended to express the dissatisfaction with the position
of Croats in BH.
Heads of the veterans' association rejected any connections
between their petition and a recent pamphlet calling Serbs and
Croats to tell the occupying SFOR to leave.
The pamphlet was a set up, the veterans' leaders said.
