ZAGREB CONTEST ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - A Belorussian piano player, Konstantin Krasnitsky, won the first prize at the first international European Piano Teachers Association's competition of pianists, held in Zagreb on Sunday night.
Along with the first DM 10,000-worth prize of the jury, Krasnitsky also won the first prize of the audience and the right to hold four solo concerts. The second prize went to Federico Gianello from Italy and the third was awarded to Daria Petrova from Russia. As an EPTA member, Croatia hosted this year's competition, which gathered 42 competitors from 14 countries, including 14 pianists from Croatia.(hina) rml
