SPLIT SPLIT, Feb 1 (Hina) - Banja Luka Bishop Franjo Komarica was on Monday pronounced an honorary citizen of the southern Croatian town of Split. Mayor Ivan Skaric handed Komarica an 'honorary citizen' diploma at today's special
session of the City Council. During the war, Bishop Komarica bravely travelled around the world, telling the truth about Bosnia-Herzegovina. In doing so, he never threatened anyone or spoke unfavourably of other religions. He treated everybody in the same way, regardless of their nationality, religion or class, it was said at today's ceremony. Visibly moved, Bishop Komarica addressed town representatives, saying he had been able to perform his duties because he was surrounded by people "who tried to remain human in those difficult times".
