ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - Liberal Party MP Bozo Kovacevic on Tuesday forwarded a letter to Interior Minister Ivan Penic. The letter is in response to claims by Penic that a document released in the Croatian weekly 'Nacional' "is not a
document belonging to the Office for the Protection of the Constitutional Order". Penic also denied allegations that Kovacevic was an item of interest to that service. Kovacevic notes that in his letter of January 22, Minister Penic did not explain whose document was released in 'Nacional'. Kovacevic asked Minister Penic to whom does the document belong, who is illegally tapping Croatian citizens, and what has Penic done to uncover those responsible. Kovacevic demanded that Minister Penic give him the true document of May 5 1998, belonging to the Service, and thus back up his claims that the Service "bases its activities on the Constitution and the Law on Interior Affairs".(hina) sp/ha mm
