PRISTINA, Jan 16 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) monitoring mission, William Walker, said on Saturday that two members of the mission had been wounded near Decani the day before.
They are not in the critical condition. U.S. diplomat Walker said the incident had caused great concern, warning that any kind of violence against members of the OSCE mission in Kosovo was unacceptable. He announced that he would spare no effort to help determine circumstance under which the two OSCE mission members had been attacked. We believe that yesterday's attack against a car of the OSCE monitoring mission was deliberate in some way, he added. Walker called on the warring parties to endorse the peace agreement, comply with the UN Security Council resolutions and respect a cease-fire so that a permanent political solution to the Kosovo crisis could be found.(hina) ms
