PRISTINA, Jan 20 (Hina) - Kosovo Albanian leader Ibrahim Rugova said on Wednesday that the massacre of 45 Albanians in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo's village of Racak made the current situation in the province even more
difficult, and added that the Kosovo residents needed international protection. During talks with Italian deputy Foreign Minister Umbero Ranieri, Rugova called on Italy to suggest to its allies international intervention in Kosovo, aimed at making possible a political solution of the Kosovo issue. According to the Kosovo Information Centre, Raineri expressed concern and deep anger of the Italian Government about the massacre.
