EU SPECIAL ENVOY SATISFIED WITH RELEASE OF YUGO SOLDIERS

PRISTINA, Jan 14 (Hina) - A European Union special envoy to Kosovo +and Austrian Ambassador in Belgrade, Wolfgang Petrisch, voiced +satisfaction with the release of eight Yugoslav soldiers, the +Pristina-based Albanian daily "Koha Ditore" said on Thursday.+ Ambassador Petrisch said that by the release of the eight soldiers +the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) proved its political +responsibility in a very complicated situation.+ The soldiers were set free on Wednesday following several-hour-+long negotiations between the KLA and international community +representatives.+ On late Wednesday night Petrisch held a meeting with an ethnic +Albanian negotiating team for talks with the Belgrade government.+ They discussed possibilities of accelerating the negotiating +process and finding a peaceful solution to the Kosovo crisis.+(hina) ms+
