SARAJEVO, Dec 19 (Hina) - The cantonal court in Sarajevo has issued
a warrant for the arrest of yet another Bosnian Croat, suspected of
having been involved in the last year's assassination of the
federal deputy interior minister, Jozo Leutar.
A spokesman for the United Nations' mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina
told reporters on Tuesday that the warrant had been released for the
apprehension of Mario Milicevic whose name had already been
mentioned in the media in relation with this killing.
We expect from interior ministries of all cantons within the
Bosnian Croat-Moslem Federation to begin searching for Milicevic
so that he could as soon as possible be brought before justice, the
spokesman Douglas Coffman said adding that there were reports that
Milicevic had been in hiding in the area of Mostar for some time.
Milicevic is the sixth suspect whose name is made public in the case
of Leutar, who died of wounds he sustained in an explosion of a bomb
planted under his car in March 1999.
Four Bosnian Croats, suspected of being implicated in the murder,
are in custody in Sarajevo.
Ivan Andabak, believed to be the mastermind behind this crime, is
detained in Croatia, but he was arrested a few months ago on
suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking.
Bosnia's federal interior ministry has asked for Andabak's
extradition so that he could be tried for the assassination. So far
this request has not been met owing to Andabak's dual citizenship.
Coffman said the UN mission in Bosnia supported Sarajevo's request
to Croatia's authorities to hand over Andabak.
