The two officials discussed the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. As far as Bosnian Croats were concerned, the two officials concluded other options should be given a chance, besides the Croatian Democratic Union, if they assume the profile of legitimate representatives of the Croat people in Bosnia. O'Brien praised Mesic's standpoints on Bosnia-Herzegovina, adding they were clear and brave.
