ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - Croatia will reconstruct a bridge on the Danube River linking it with Yugoslavia, damaged in NATO attacks on Yugoslavia, from its own budget, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and
Communications, Marina Haluzan, told Hina on Wednesday. Croatia will allocate 1.2 million kuna from the 2001 budget for that purpose, she said. Asked whether there was a possibility for NATO to compensate for the damage, a deputy spokeswoman for the Croatian Government, Roberta Brusic, said NATO's operation, in which the bridge had been damaged, had been carried out in line with a U.N. Security Council resolution, meaning that it was not very likely that NATO would pay for the damage.(hina) jn rml
