ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - The government is preparing a law which will encourage better work and the opening of a greater number of institutions for rehabilitation and employment of persons with special needs, Croatian Vice Premier
Zeljka Antunovic said during her visit to the Institution for the rehabilitation and employment of handicapped persons (URIHO) Wednesday. The time has come when the social policy should be directed to persons with special needs instead of, as it has been the case so far, allocating funds to young persons capable of working who are in a welfare programme due to the country's poor economic policy, Zeljka Antunovic stressed. The Vice Premier also visited URIHO classrooms and working facilities, where 192 children with light mental retardation and hearing impairment are being educated and working.(hina) it
