VIENNA VIENNA, Nov 28 (Hina) - The two-day conference of foreign ministers of countries, members to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) ended Tuesday night without the adoption of a unified and comprehensive
final declaration due to Russian opposition, for the first time in the history of this organisation. The only adopted was the Vienna Declaration which speaks about the situation in Southeast Europe. The Croatian Government has achieved significant progress in the fulfilment of its international commitments since the beginning of this year, the fourth item of the Declaration states, adding the ministers hailed all the measures the new government has undertaken to improve regional cooperation and a clear decisiveness in the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. of countries, members to the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) ended Tuesday night without the
adoption of a unified and comprehensive final declaration due to
Russian opposition, for the first time in the history of this
organisation.
The only adopted was the Vienna Declaration which speaks about the
situation in Southeast Europe.
The Croatian Government has achieved significant progress in the
fulfilment of its international commitments since the beginning of
this year, the fourth item of the Declaration states, adding the
ministers hailed all the measures the new government has undertaken
to improve regional cooperation and a clear decisiveness in the
implementation of the Dayton Agreement.
With regards to the recently held Zagreb Summit, ministers recalled
that participants of the Summit had stressed that democracy and
regional reconciliation together with each country drawing closer
to the European Union made one entirety.
They also stressed that within the process of stabilisation and
association, each country had its path open for joining the EU on an
individual basis, and recalled that momentum had been given to the
policy of good neighbourly relations with the obligation for each
of the countries in Southeast Europe to fully cooperate with the
international war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
The foreign ministers recognised a generally positive trend with
regards minority returns to Bosnia-Herzegovina and expressed joint
satisfaction with the progress multi-ethnic and pluralistic
parties had achieved at the recent elections in the country. They
requested an immediate implementation of the electoral results.
