ZAGREB, Nov 24 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan met his Finnish counterpart Paavo Lipponen within bilateral meetings at Friday's Zagreb Summit, held at the "Intercontinental" hotel, the Government's public relations office
said in a statement. Welcoming today's signing of an Agreement on Stabilisation and Association, which enables Croatia to start negotiations with the European Union, Lipponen expressed support for the policy of the Croatian Government, the statement said. Racan said the organisation of a summit of EU countries and five countries from the SAA process in Zagreb alone was proof of positive changes in the region. The main topic at the talks was the strengthening of economic cooperation, to which a presentation of Croatia's economy during a visit of a Croatian business delegation to Helsinki in spring 2001 is expected to contribute, the statement reads.(hina) jn rml
