ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday visited soldiers injured in an explosion of a mine in Ogulin's barracks on November 16. It is our duty to make injured soldiers fit for life. The Defence Ministry and
the entire country should help, President Mesic said. "We need to establish how the accident occurred and who is responsible for it. Those responsible will have to face consequences", Mesic stressed. When asked whether the incident in Ogulin's barracks was a proof of serious difficulties in the Croatian Armed Forces, Mesic said that based on a single case, one should not draw such a conclusion. The accident occurred at 9.18 hours Thursday, during the regular procedure of weapons-cleaning which took place in a room with explosive devices. Four soldiers were heavily wounded and another seventeen suffered light injuries.(hina) it
