ZAGREB, Nov 21 (Hina) - The border transport of vehicles, passengers, and goods in this year's first nine months marked a significant increase as compared to the same period in 1999, the State Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday. In
said period, the number of road vehicles entering Croatia reached 15.1 million, which is a 22.2 percent increase against 1999. As regards passengers, 48.6 million entered Croatia, 26.7 percent more than last year. The quantity of goods imported by road rose by 9.4 percent, amounting to 3.6 million tonnes. The transport of export goods also marked an increase, of 5.2 percent, totalling 4.2 million tonnes. The amount of goods in road transit across Croatia rose by 27.7 percent in entering the country, and by 41.7 in leaving the country.(hina) ha
