session of the NATO Council's Parliamentary Assembly in Berlin
between Nov. 18-21 for the first time, as an associate member.
The session will address succession to the ex-Yugoslavia, and the
future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.
The working version of final documents on the territory of the
former Yugoslav federation says Yugoslavia has to undergo the
complete procedure to return to the international community, as
well as that the legacy of the former federation belongs to its
successor states, i.e. Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Yugoslavia, and
Macedonia.
In its part referring to Bosnia, a draft resolution voices support
to the development of a modern state of three peoples.
The Croatian delegation was pleased to note that all working
documents mentioned an individual approach for accessing the
European Union for all member-states of the Stability Pact for
Southeast Europe.
Observers say it is not accidental the conference is taking place
ahead of the Zagreb Summit on Nov. 24.
Before being admitted to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as full-
right member, the Croatian delegation has the right to participate
in the work of its committees, but does not have the right to vote.
