KORCULA, Nov 10 (Hina) - A great British passenger liner called 'Victoria', cruising from Naples to Venice, sailed into the Peljesac Channel (southern Croatian Adriatic) on Friday. Owing to its proportions with 205 metres of the
length, this 28,890-tonnes cruiser could not enter the port of Korcula and 685 passengers were taken from the ship to the island by boats. A local travel agency - Atlas- organised a tour over the island for the British guests. They could go sightseeing and be present at a traditional game with swords called 'Moreska'. 'Victoria' was the last foreign cruiser with tourists aboard this year to visit Korcula, the birthplace of a world-famous traveller Marco Polo.(hina) jn ms
