ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Interior Ministry did not yet receive concrete motions of the Maritime, Transportation and Communications Ministry for the improvement of sub legal acts on transportation of dangerous substances,
said the Croatian Interior Ministry in a statement issued on Monday. The Maritime, Transportation and Communications Ministry on Monday denied assessments of local Slunj authorities, according to which the Ministry is responsible for the ecological incident which took place on Friday, when 7,500 litres of sulphuric acid leaked out of an overturned cistern onto the road. The Transportation Ministry stressed that in July 2000, it proposed to the Interior Ministry that a training programme for drivers of dangerous loads be implemented. The Interior Ministry, however, refused the programme. The Interior Ministry confirmed it had received the proposal.

The Maritime, Transportation and Communications Ministry on Monday

The Interior Ministry confirmed it had received the proposal. The
Interior Ministry said in its answer that Croatia had ratified an
international agreement on road transportation of dangerous
substances, and it did not include a training programme for drivers
as a the continuation of the programme.
The Interior Ministry then asked the Transportation Ministry to
give concrete remarks regarding the sub legal acts, but the
Transportation Ministry failed to do so, read the statement issued
by the Interior Ministry.
