RIGHTIST PARTIES ESTABLISH CROATIAN OPPOSITION COUNCIL

ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Opposition Council (HOV) was established at the initiative of the Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HKDU) and gathers 13 parties of democratic Christian and right-wing affiliation. Its chief goal is to point to the existence of an alternative to the current "red-yellow" authority which is leading Croatia into a national disaster, president of the Croatian rightist movement "Free Croatia", and representative of the HOV, told a news conference Monday. Parties comprising the HOV, founded Saturday, have not united, but there is a tendency of alliance in the future. One of the aims of their political action is to preserve Croatia's national sovereignty, a strong Croatian victorious army as a guarantee of protecting Croatia's national interests, and such constitutional solutions which would protect the Croatian State as a state of the Croatian people and members of all other national minorities, he said. The HOV will hold a peaceful protest against the upcoming Zagreb Summit which, is leading Croatia into Balkan associations, HKDU president Marko Veselica asserted. (hina) lml jn
