BELICA, Oct 24 (Hina) - A two-year Croatian-Dutch project aimed at improving the growing of mercantile and seed potato in Croatia was completed on Tuesday at a farm in Belica near the northern Croatian town of Cakovec. Project
coordinator Ivan Butorac said the Dutch government had invested 3.5 million kuna in the project and donated machines and equipment to potato growers in Belica and four other Croatian towns. Dutch Ambassador Ida L. van Veldhuizen-Rothenblicher and Croatia's Assistant Agriculture Minister Miroslav Pazur filled one sack with potatoes, marking the end of the project. Pazur called on Dutch representatives and companies which participated in the project to cooperate with Croatia in other forms of agricultural production as well.(hina) rml
