ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - Two representatives of Britain's 'New
Puritans' literary movement and some 20 Croatian writers will
participate together in the literary festival FAK, to be held in
Zagreb on October 24-26. #L#
The festival will gather 23 prose-writers of different styles and
generations, who have been selected because they can read their
texts well and are direct in communication with readers, said the
festival's selector, writer Borivoj Radakovic.
According to Radakovic, those authors speak about "today and here"
but not in the way politics does it.
Radakovic said that a month ago 15 modern British writers published
a book entitled "All Hail The New Puritans" and a manifesto with ten
items on the style of the New Puritans, which sent shock waves
throughout the British literary scene.
It will be possible to view the festival's programme on the Internet
through live broadcasts of the most interesting events and
interviews.
On the first day of the festival the publishing house 'Celeber' will
present the book "All Hail The New Puritans", and after the end of
the festival it will publish an anthology of new stories by authors
who participated in the festival, which started in May in Osijek and
moves after Zagreb to Pula (November 8/9).
Attending the festival are Ben Richards and Matt Thorne from Great
Britain, Djermano Senjanovic, Miljenko Jergovic, Tarik Kulenovic,
Simo Mraovic, Kresimir Pintaric, Neven Usumovic, Edo Popovic,
Laura Marchig, Zoran Feric, Stanko Andric, Jurica Pavicic, Zor Ra
(Zorica Radakovic), Boris Maruna, Goran Tribuson, Roman Simic,
Borivoj Radakovic, Senko Karuza, Drago Orlic, Franci Blaskovic,
Milko Valent and Ante Tomic from Croatia.
