SLAVONSKI SAMAC/BRODSKI STUPNIK, Oct 18 (Hina) - The Croatian police captured 30 illegal Turkish emigrees on a road near the Sava River near Slavonski Samac between 2 and 3 am on Wednesday. The Turks were discovered in a van driven by
a Croatian national, Jozo K., from Slavonski Brod. Shortly after this, the police discovered a Croatian national, Fabijan K., from Srednji Lipovac and a group of 20 Turkish nationals, who were waiting in a nearby wood for transport after having illegally crossed the border from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Another group of 14 Turkish nationals was discovered this morning on the state road D-4 near Brodski Stupnik, when the police tried to stop a vehicle bearing Bosnian registration plates. River near Slavonski Samac between 2 and 3 am on Wednesday.
The Turks were discovered in a van driven by a Croatian national,
Jozo K., from Slavonski Brod.
Shortly after this, the police discovered a Croatian national,
Fabijan K., from Srednji Lipovac and a group of 20 Turkish
nationals, who were waiting in a nearby wood for transport after
having illegally crossed the border from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Another group of 14 Turkish nationals was discovered this morning
on the state road D-4 near Brodski Stupnik, when the police tried to
stop a vehicle bearing Bosnian registration plates. The driver did
not stop the vehicle immediately, but stopped after half a

The police found 14 Turkish citizens in the vehicle and they were
taken to the Slavonski Brod police station. The police have
launched an intensive search for the driver and the passenger.
Charges will be pressed against Jozo K. and Fabijan K. and they will
be taken to a Pozega County Court investigating judge. The 64 Turks
will face police court proceedings and be banished from Croatia,
the police said.
