VARAZDIN, Oct 16 (Hina) - Sixty-five foreign citizens were arrested in the northern region of Varazdin over the past 24 hours while attempting to illegally cross the border into Slovenia. Twenty-one foreigners, of whom 14 were Turks,
five Indians, and one a Bangladeshi, were caught without any identification documents in a wooded area near Druzbinica. All but one had already been prosecuted in Croatia for attempting to illegally cross the state border. They were taken to the Varazdin magistrate's court, where they were fined and banished from Croatia. In the night of October 15, police in Zloganj intercepted three vehicles in an attempt to cross the border into Slovenia, with 44 foreigners inside. Forty-three were Turks and one was an Afghan.
