ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The OSCE Mission's police monitoring group will on November 1 cease operating as a special unit within the OSCE Mission to Croatia, the Croatian Interior Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. OSCE Mission
head Bernard Poncet informed Interior Minister Sime Lucin of this decision on Wednesday. According to the statement, Poncet said he saw this decision as the acknowledgement of the Ministry's and Minister Lucin's work. The operation of the Croatian police and the overall security situation were assessed as very good following six-month systematic monitoring.
