ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday morning left for a two-day official visit to Hungary at the invitation of Hungarian President Ferenc Madl. Ahead of his departure, President Mesic said his visit to
Hungary aimed at the promotion of economic relations in order to achieve the level of excellent political relations between the two countries. Mesic stressed it would be of particular importance to increase Croatia's export to Hungary, which is currently significantly lower than the import from the country. He added he expected his talks with Hungarian officials to tackle great regional economic projects, such as the Adriatic-Ionian highway, the purification of the Danube, building of gas pipe lines between Norway and the Adriatic, and oil pipe lines between the Caspian Sea and the Adriatic.
