ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - A two-day seminar marking the 50th anniversary of the Lexicographic Institute 'Miroslav Krleza' opened in Zagreb on Friday. The event has gathered about 40 experts from all fields of science, culture and art,
who will deliver lectures and present the institute's work. The Lexicographic Institute was founded in Zagreb on October 5 1950 as a federal institution of the former Yugoslavia. A rich lexicographic work, comparable to the greatest European and world lexicographic achievements, has been created over the past 50 years. In that period, 239 different lexicographic, encyclopaedic and similar editions were published, the Institute's head, academician Dalibor Brozovic, said in an opening speech.
