OSIJEK, Oct 10 (Hina) - An investigating judge in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek on Tuesday ruled that all 13 Croatian Serbs, arrested on suspicion of having committed war crimes against civilians in east Croatia, should be
detained in custody 30 days. The investigating judge Mladen Filipovic questioned five suspects today and another eight yesterday, and decided on their 30-day detention. Defence lawyers of all the 13 suspects have lodged appeals against the custody. The Osijek-based County Court must give its opinion on the appeals within 48 hours. The 12 apprehended Serbs have been in custody since Friday and one of them has been kept since Saturday in the detention centre of the Osijek County Court. Nine (9) of them are being defended by attorneys Domagoj and Nedjeljko Resetar and the lawyers of the rest are Drazen Srb and Stevo Dobos.(hina) jn ms
