JELAVIC EXPECTS BOSNIAN MUSLIM SUSPECTS TO BE PROSECUTED IN HAGUE MOSTAR, Oct 9 (Hina) - The Croat member in Bosnia and Herzegovina's three-men Presidency on Monday applauded the prosecution of 23 Bosnian Muslims charged with war crimes against prisoners of war and Bosnian Croat civilians during last decade's war in Mostar. "The Bosnian Muslim suspected of crimes over the Croatian civilian population on the territory of... Mostar are the introduction into much more important things," said Ante Jelavic. "I am referring to the Grabovica case, which shouldn't be prosecuted here in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in local courts, but in The Hague, before the criminal tribunal," he added. Jelavic expects high-ranking Bosnian Muslim officials will be prosecuted for the 1993 killing of 32 Bosnian Croat civilians in Grabovica. "It is finally time to tackle the issue of command responsibility... (that of) political and military leaders on the Bosnian Muslim side," he said. Jelavic believes equal treatment by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague of all sides in Bosnia and Herzegovina may lead to the real truth and real reconciliation among the peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
