KIEV, Sept 25 (Hina) - Croatia and Ukraine obliged to encourage their governments as well as some economic areas and companies to cooperate in economy, Croatian national parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic said Monday after talks with
senior Ukrainian officials held in Kiev. "It is not enough to have good bilateral and parliamentary relations, it is also necessary to develop a concrete economic cooperation", Tomcic said and added he held talks with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mikola Zulinski on concrete economic and other issues. The officials focused on the pan-European corridor, the connecting of Ukraine, Hungary and Croatia by a highway, the opening of the navigation on the Danube as well as gas and oil pipe lines in which Ukraine is particularly interested. The Croatian parliament speaker assessed his talks with Ukrainian
President as very successful.
"We can say Croatia has a great friend in President Kucma and a man
who will most definitely be a generator of good relations between
Ukraine and Croatia", Tomcic said.
He added they also tackled constitutional changes in both
