GENERAL STIPETIC HOLDS TALKS WITH POLISH ARMY CHIEF-OF-STAFF

ZAGREB, Sept 22 (Hina) - Croatian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff General Petar Stipetic on Friday held talks with a Polish military delegation, headed by the Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Henryk Szumski, as part of regular bilateral talks. The meeting focused on military cooperation and Croatia's efforts to join the NATO. "We spoke about the possible cooperation between our two armed forces' concerning our membership in the Partnership for Peace Programme and NATO," Stipetic said, stressing Poland's "thorny path" towards full membership in NATO presented a valuable experience for Croatia. Szumski pointed out the necessity of solving the problem of staff and communications". During talks on cooperation, the two generals accentuated the importance of education personnel and agreements on joint peace actions.
