RACAN: WE AREN'T GOING TO CONSIDER PERSONNEL CHANGES

JASENAK, Sept 21 (Hina) - Croatian ministers led by Premier Ivica Racan on Thursday evening gathered in a mountain resort on Bjelolasica (central Croatia) ahead of tomorrow's session of the government coordination that is expected to discuss the work of the Government and proposals for its improvement. "We are not going to tackle issues about staff... We shall have enough time for that, for instance at the first anniversary of this Government's inauguration," Prime Minister Racan told reporters immediately upon his arrival in the resort. He announced that tomorrow's session would revolve around proposals for making this Government more efficient. Asked about concrete topics Racan answered that they were going to see what they could do "to strengthen cooperation inside and between ministries and the Cabinet's most senior ministers". "We must solve serious problems and show higher quality as we are entering a stage when we no longer deal with what we have inherited (from the former Government) but now we are building with all other in the country," Croatian Premier added. In relation to the fact that several politically intensive months are ahead and that much will happen around us, we should do our best to be better and more responsible under such circumstances.
