BRCKO BRCKO, Sept 19 (Hina) - The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Tuesday opened its office in the northern Bosnian town of Brcko. The office has been set up in the district of Brcko with the intention to facilitate
local progress programmes in the next three years. Necessary funds of 1.5 million US dollars, are earmarked by the Japanese government for the first two years. In addition, the UNDP has also ensured the initial fund of $500,000. The money should be invested in the upgrading of the social infrastructure and the enhancement of the production as well as in the help to displaced persons who come back to their pre-war homes.(hina) ms
