citizens signed the petition. The signing was organised at four sites by the Split-based headquarters for the protection of the dignity of the Homeland War. The headquarters was set up last week by veterans' associations in Dalmatia, reacting upon arrests of some veterans, suspected of committing war crimes and other criminal acts. The headquarters, in session for the sixth consecutive day, insists on the discontinuation of veterans' apprehension, the calling of an urgent session of the Sabor and the replacement of the Government which it accused of tarnishing the Homeland War's dignity by the arrests.(hina) jn ms
