PRESIDENT MESIC MEETS STABILITY PACT SPECIAL COORDINATOR

ZAGREB, Sept 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic held talks on new projects with the Special Coordinator for the Stability Pact for South-East Europe, Bodo Hombach, in Zagreb on Monday. Hombach is participating in a summit of parliamentary presidents from Stability Pact member-countries, which is taking place in Zagreb. In a short statement to reporters Hombach said he welcomed Croatia's initiative to organise the summit, adding his talks with President Mesic focused on preparations for future projects. The projects which have been nominated so far are underway, Hombach said. Funds for those projects have been secured by the European Investment Bank, whose delegation will visit Croatia on September 18, he added. President Mesic reiterated the importance of the Adriatic-Ionian highway projects, which will be prepared for the next donors' conference, to be held early next year. Also discussed was a European
