RIJEKA, Sept 5 (Hina) - Italian cargo ship Gran Bretagne, which arrived from the United States in the Rijeka port in Croatia's northern Adriatic on Monday, today started unloading military equipment for U.S. units in NATO's
Stabilisation Force deployed in neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina. The delivery comprises 60 combat helicopters, 85 army vehicles and 175 containers with various equipment. This is the fifth exchange of U.S. military equipment to be carried out in the Rijeka port. A ship which is to return the old equipment to the U.S. should tie up in Rijeka in approximately one month. The unloading of the Gran Bretagne will take three days, while the equipment will be transferred to BH over three weeks.
