Secretaries of State of foreign ministries of Italy, Hungary and
Slovenia, Umberto Ranieri, Zsolt Nemeth and Mitja Drobnic told a
press conference Wednesday this was another sign of
acknowledgement to Croatia and its new political leadership for the
results achieved in the democratisation of society and the
establishment of stability in the region.
A Croatian delegation, which was invited to attend the meeting, was
headed by Croatian deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic-
Kurelec. She pointed to the significance of Croatia's joining the
group and added Croatia would continue to promote already good
political, economic and cultural cooperation with countries in the
region.
This would improve the financing and realisation of several
projects which are of Croatia's interest, namely the development of
infrastructure, such as corridors through Croatia.
