ZAGREB, Aug 29 (Hina) - Representatives of the German and Croatian Red Cross organisations on Monday in Zagreb signed a DM1.5 million-worth agreement on assistance for returnees in the central Croatian regions of Banovina and Kordun,
the Croatian Red Cross reported on Tuesday. Part of the donation, worth DM745,000, will be used for the immediate reconstruction of 149 houses in Topusko, Gvozd, Glina, Kostajnica and Dvor. The other part of the donation, worth DM749,920, refers to the purchase of basic furniture for returnees to the above-mentioned municipalities. Reconstruction works should be completed by the end of this year. The largest part of the donation was secured by the German government and a smaller part by the German Red Cross.(hina) rml
