DUBROVNIK DUBROVNIK, Aug 27 (Hina) - An international seminar on human rights protection began at the International University Centre in Dubrovnik on Sunday. The seminar is attended by some 50 students from Europe and a dozen
lecturers from Germany, Great Britain, the United States and Croatia. The event was organised by the Zagreb-based branch of the European Law Students Association (ELSA). This is one of the biggest student conferences to be held in Croatia this year. Its purpose is to provide an understandable analysis of legal, primarily court and extralegal mechanisms of application of the European Convention on Human Rights. The meeting will also tackle human rights on the national level, primarily in Croatia, Great Britain and the United States, as well as the protection of human rights on the regional and international levels.
