ZAGREB, Aug 9 (Hina) - The national union of Croatian Post and Telecommunication (HPT) workers on Wednesday forwarded a protest letter demanding urgent solution of all disputable issues regarding salaries, holidays and safety at work,
warning that if their requests were not considered the union would organise protest rallies as of September 1 this year. "The arrival of Deutsche Telekom in the Croatian Telecommunication (HT) has cost HT workers their labour and social rights from the Labour Act, Act on Safety at Work and the Branch Collective Post and Telecommunications Agreement," read the letter sent to the Government, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications, and the HT and Deutsche Telekom management boards. The union also believes that workers have been denied salary increases, which is contrary to the Branch Collective Agreement, as well as protective clothing and footwea
